At 7 o’clock on 5 December ,2014, the ACT lecture -- The Story Between Public Welfare and Me, which was hosted by IFBS(International Federation of Business Students), started at Room 123, Wenxin Building, Guangzhou University(Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center).
The guests of the lecture included: Chen Jiajun, the leader of Bike Guangzhou, Lei Chang, an activist of hepatitis B, Ye Pan, the commissioner and Deputy Secretary of FLFC Foundation Management Committee and Zhang Jian, a special guest. Students from Guangzhou University, volunteers from Youth Volunteers Association of different universities and seven members of FLFC Guangdong University Students Station took part in the lecture.

In this public welfare lecture, Ye Pan, the commissioner and Deputy Secretary of FLFC Foundation Management Committee and member of FLFC Guangzhou Volunteer Team as well, delivered a lecture on FLFC “Share Love”, so it gave FLFC a chance to publicize university

Chen Jiajun, the leader of Bike Guangzhou, was the first one to deliver a lecture. He said that he and his team succeed in rebuilding the Xiaozhou Bridge by Action Art and communicating with Guangzhou government.
The second one on stage was special guest Zhang Jian, a disabled man. He talked about the Barrier Free activity and won warm applause for his strong will.
The third person on stage was Lei Chuang, an activist of hepatitis B. As a full-time public advocate, he launched the activity, “Welfare Travel to Beijing”, to fight for the right of HB patients. He walked to Beijing from Shanghai and Dongbei and got a resounding round of applause because of his strong will.
The last one to share was Ye Pan and he brought three free books called Softness Changes China written by Deng Fei, the originator of FLFC. Because of the large number of people, it was decided to send three students books by Wechat Shake. Everyone shook their phones, which was “spectacular”, so that the cold atmosphere warmed up.
Ye Pan talked about his experience of participating in public welfare activities of FLFC, which arouse the students’ admiration. The video from FLFC Guangdong University Students Station was also played and the founders of the Station appeared in the video too. It is believed that their affecting and sincere speech will let the new members of the Station who presented have a sense of identity and belonging. Meanwhile, it let the students who presented know the FLFC Guangdong University Students Station, have deeper understanding of FLFC and university students doing public service.

The second part of the activity was the mutual interlocution and the three guests answered the questions from students carefully. In the communion part, lots of questions were put forward. Among these questions, Ye Pan answered the questions from students about feeling helpless when helping stray animals. He also shared his experience of joining the FLFC public welfare organization and solving problems. His answer, to some extent, inspired the students how they should develop on the road of public welfare. Ye Pan encouraged everyone that if one only sees problems, it is his ending, while if one sees problems and thinks about what he can do, it demonstrates that they make great progress. What about you? In this lecture, the three guests talked about their experience of public welfare in a serious and humorous way, which added leaven to the speech.
