Can Niuniu said,there's no free lunch indeed, but it's different in the "Free Lunch" foundation project school, the children live in mountain area, they are enjoying delicious and warm free lunch, grow up in a healthy way.

Can Niuniu has appeared for nearly four years, countless donators and volunteers support the development of project, for the power of every trickle, resolving the problem of subsistence for 100,000 teachers and students, they can focus on teaching and learning.

From 9th to 11th last week, a volunteer who came from Wuhan, left from city, visited 4 nearby schools he served for about one year in Hefeng County of Enshi, Hubei Province.     

Plateau school with more young teachers

On 9 March, the platear primary school in latitude of 1800m, three teachers Qiao Xue, Wu Jitao and Wang Bin (from left to right)  dished up for children, Qiao Xue is after 90s, Wu Jitao ang Wang Bin are after 80s.

They get warm from burning woods in the school, the young teachers are the main role, 8 teachers including 3 teachers after 80s and another 2 after 90s.

The school locates in new-built area, the children by two and threes, squating or standing when taking the lunch, as we know the new school will be completed and used in next semester.

Qi Quan Primary School with 2 students

Qiquan teaching spot locates in Rongmei Town, there are only 2 students this semester.

On 10 March, around 12:30, 11-year-old Tian Zheng Enci (No.1 from the left) together with 9-year-old Cui Chenggong, came to the kitchen from the empty Grade 3 classroom , sit at a round table with the principal and workers, like eating at home.

Owing to the family poverty, Tian Zheng Enci and his little brother took Grade 1 at the same time, but Enci's result is better than his brother, the end of last semester, Chinese, math and English were 92, 92 and 85 respectively.

Polite and enthusiastic Bai Yang Primary School

While missing the lunch time, volunteers and children first meet when the children took a rest at class break, when the volunteers came to the classroom, the children looked at them with red face, called us "Uncle and aunt" in sweet voice.

Bai Yang Primary School doesn't have printer, so the principal Tian Shenxiu draws the tables for bookkeeping, but the items of accounts are clear and neat.

In the afternoon, the children played the game of "One, two, three, wooden man" on the playground.

The principal said, before the free lunch, the children can only bring the cooked potatoes to school, they remove the skin then eat with water at noon, and now the children would have the meat and soup for every meal, they have more strength to take class and play games.

2 teachers in 50s persistence--- Yun Wu Primary School

On 11 March, the teacher Li Shiqing from Yun Wu Primary School (wears hat in the photo) dished up for preschool , Grade 1 and 2 children around the table.

6 days ago, he took the risk to ride 5 hours motorcycle on the frozen road to have the free lunch training arranged by Education Bureau in He Feng County.

Li Shiqing is 56 years old, the other teacher Wang Renqin, 3 years older than him, both of tem have been teaching for more than 30 years, when we asked a child what he wanted to say to the teachers, he may know that both teachers would retire soon, answered: I hope both teacher can teach us forever.

17 children in Yun Wu Primary School are active and lovely, they show different poses in front of the camera, boys show their handsome, girls show their beauty.

They said they prefer carrots to meat, the reason is "sick of taking too much meat."
