When geese fly in a V-formation, they can increase their flying distance up to 71 percent. Because when every goose flutters, it encourages other companions that follow behind. The motivation of geese’s long-distance flight also represents the cohesive spirit in a team.
Thousands of concentric is thousand people came to power; million people heart, not one of." The basis of team spirits is to respect individual interests and achievements. The core is to cooperate with each other, and the highest level is a centripetal and cohesion. Forming team spirits do not require self-sacrifice. On the contrary, showing personalities and strengths is a way to guarantee that team members can accomplish work tasks together. The explicit cooperative willingness and mode generate a real impetus in hearts. Our volunteer team is exactly a team where everyone can extend individuality and gather together sincerely.

Xiaoyan Chen is a native-born person in Tianjin. Her family was in a straitened circumstance so that she was aware of living conditions of lower-class people. She is in charge of docking with Jianshanzi Primary School in Qinhuang Island. At the same time, she helps Dahui of integrated sub-section to take charge of 23 food provided schools’ weekly Weibo inspections in Hebei Province. She always says: it is fine to name it charity or kindness, but it is not a behavior showing off in front of others. Persistence is a contribution towards people in need, which would bring benefits to them and change them. This is what a charity brings to us and make us have self-discipline and younger mental states.
Thanks for Fei Deng! Thanks for Free Lunch! Thanks for all volunteers! Thanks for children in remote mountainous regions! It is you that wake up our social responsibilities and provide a real opportunity for us to realize our value of life.
Instead of suffering from starving, Children can have hot food offered by Free Lunch and feel the beauty of the world. As volunteers, we also appreciate that children and this charity enhance individual value, happiness, interpersonal trust, competence, and like-minded friends. The long-lasting charity is a win-win activity, which lights up the life of people in need and warms the world. It also makes benefactors’ life more colorful and become a better one.

They are in the same schools. Due to being familiar with each other, they cooperate efficiently and provide a lot of experience and help to the team establishment of Free Lunch.
We have to move forward, but we can sow the seeds of hope and let them grow to be a towering tree to shield people in need from the wind and the sun.

Hong Chen, an office director in the School of Materials in the Tianjin Polytechnic University, joined Free Lunch and became a volunteer in July of 2014. The reason why she joined is that Free Lunch makes every fund raised in an open and transparent which is under supervisions of the society. A lot of children can stay away from starving. Being a university teacher, she has a responsibility for leading and cultivate students’ social responsibilities, spirits of dedication, and willingness of helping others. The biggest change on her is that she achieves her value of life, improves her competence, and purifies her mind. She also makes many like-minded friends in this program.
Zhuang Guo is a student of session 2014 in the School of Materials in the Tianjin Polytechnic University. She started to know Free Lunch and became a volunteer in September 2014. It is about one year and a half since she docked with Sanlipeng Primary School in Zhuolu county of Zhangjiakou in Hebei Province. At the beginning of 2015, she undertook the group leader of docking with volunteers in Hebei Province; in September, she took over the Tianjin’s university student volunteer team. She devoted to making the volunteer team of university students swells on campus. As a speaker, she joined an activity of “Share love, hundreds of schools in ten cities with Free Lunch” and shared this program with others. Till now, there are over 30 volunteers of Free Lunch on campus, and they dock with regions like including Hebei, Guizhou, and Hunan respectively. Her motto is: not for the best, but for the better. Her new year goal is to establish a Free Lunch’s university student center in Tianjin successfully.
Ying Zhao is a student of session 2013 in the School of Management in the Tianjin Polytechnic University and joined Free Lunch in September of 2014. She joined a voluntary activity held by the school in the summer vacation of her freshman year, and she deeply realized that some children need more help from others. When she was back to the school and joined charity sales, she got to know Free Lunch. After joining this team, she keeps working hard to do as much as possible and hopes that more children would have a happy childhood. Free Lunch provides both tasty lunch and good faith to more people.

Yunsheng Chen is a student of session 2014 in the School of Materials in the Tianjin Polytechnic University, and he is the leader of university student volunteers in the Guizhou region. Ronghua Wang is a student of session 2014 in the School of Materials in the Tianjin Polytechnic University and joined Free Lunch in September of 2014. After entering the university, he thinks that we should not only study hard, but we should also concern about the society and take our own social responsibilities positively. As a university student, we have our responsibilities to do whatever we can to help the hungry. I believe everyone has love and a desire to make contributions that can improve the society. However, most of the time, we just lack an opportunity—an opportunity that is worth for our faith. He did not know there is such an open and transparent charity organization until he knew Free Lunch. He realizes that it takes only about ten minutes to help offer daily hot free lunch to children in remote mountainous regions. Providing people with love can be so simple.
Notes
Mr. Fei Deng’s book, Softness Changes China, strongly supports many people’s ideas of devoting themselves for Free Lunch.
Love is a soundless promise, and only a spark can make it full of warmth; love is an unpaid exchange, and only a little devotion can make people treat with each other sincerely.” As a university student and a volunteer, we are willing to transform our love into actions.
The team of “Free Lunch” is like geese in the sky. We will experience storms and rains. But as long as we can stay in formation, find the right position, and have courage and faith, we would have a bright future in front of us.
