As the school Goddess now, she used to do not have money to see the doctor
This girl, named Jing Shang, a student in the school which was firstly sponsored by the Free Lunch program, has the best school performance but the poorest family.
Her father and she both suffer from tuberculosis. however, The money her parents had only enough for one of them to get cured. Her family member decided to sent them to hospital one by one, therefore, her father was the first one sent to the hospital . because, when her father was cured, he could find a job to earn money and then take Jing to the hospital.
Later, Free Lunch member helped her find a donor who committed to provide her hospitalization spending and tuition from elementary school to the college.
Jing, now in 10th grade, gets good grades at school and becomes more and more prettier.
Jing, as many more other kids, is fortunate. Those kids who used to linger around the black kitchen stove, their eyes are sore with smoke, and their meal are only potatos. It is Free Lunch that provides free meal of rice and dishes matching with meat and vegetarian for them in their neat and healthy school canteen.

Over these years, kids are growing with Free Lunch.
Four years ago, little girl Youfen Long, studied in an elementary school of Yunnan province, had to make her own meals. She cooked in a small room, because of a lot of smokes, her face skin became black with tear streaming down from her eyes .
Now, as a middle school student. She looks graceful and totally different from four years ago.
Fried potatoes are one of the kids' favorite snack in the city. But here in the village, it's the only dish that kids can have. Four and a half days each week in school, Zhijun Zhao had to make fried potatoes for his 9 meals. For a little kid eight years old, he didn't even know how long does it take for the rice to be ready, how much salt is proper for a dish.
Then, a mess hall has been built on the place where he used to cook. He doesn’t need to worry about his meal anymore.

In the past, there were about 60 million stay-at-home-children nationwide . Kids in the Midwestern part did not have lunch which result in hunger in class and stunted growth. Now, nearly 140 thousand kids in poverty-stricken area have Free Lunch in their schools and no longer suffer from hunger.
